The Bistro is a restaurant located on the grounds of the Shawnee Inn, and is only open during the warm weather months. Be sure to experience the grace of eating al fresco in the view of Shawnee's spectacular golf course!

1938 PGA Championship

This is the original program of the 1938 PGA Championship held at The Shawnee Country Club. At this time in history, the Shawnee Inn was still called the Buckwood Inn and Shawnee Country Club.

After Fred Waring purchased the Inn from C.C. Worthington, he changed the name of the resort to The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort - and the rest is history.

Celebrity Outing

Shawnee recently hosted a celebrity golf outing in benefit of the Pocono Family YMCA. Among the celebrity guests were Doc Gooden and Al Dixon.

Golf Sales Manager - Golf Whiz

Rachelle Heil, Golf Sales Manager at the Shawnee Inn, recently won, along with the rest of her foursome, the 7th Annual Executive Women's Golf Association's Women Open event at Riverview Countryclub in Easton.

For the past seven years, EWGA has been organizing this event in close proximity to the LPGA's Women's U.S. Open. This year's U.S. Open was at Saucon Valley Country Club.

All proceeds benefited the LPGA-USGA Girls Golf program.

The Pocono Vocal Arts Society

The Pocono Vocal Arts Society will be performing a community concert at Shawnee today! As always, the community concert series is free and open to the public. There will be snacks available at the event.

Shawnee's Tuesday Veranda Bites is available for those who would like to arrive early to the concert for an appetizer and drink pairing. Tonight's pairing is Nacho Grande with a bottle of Corona Beer. Admission to the Tuesday Veranda Bite is $11.95.

The concert will begin at 7:00 pm and last until 8:00 pm. Be sure to arrive early for seating!

C.C. Worthington and Dog

In this picture is C.C. Worthington and his Border Collie. C.C. originally used animals to maintain Shawnee's Island Golf Course. Although grazing animals did not prove successful in mowing the golf course, Shawnee still uses Border Collies to ward the course of geese. Some things never change.

Patriotic Concert at Shawnee

The Trinity Centennial Band will be performing at Shawnee's annual Tuesday Night Concert commemorating our country's Independence. This has become a tradition at Shawnee - Trinity has played our special July concert for over 11 years!
